House in converted mill

An old mill out of use for years. Photographs show how nature had taken up residence. Vegetation flourishes through the roof tiles but the potential for creating history can be sensed already. Well-defined areas hint at new rooms.
Window and door frames were given a new lease of life, the walls cleaned and reclaimed materials used for flooring.
Neutral colours highlight achromatic hues, first and foremost the dove-coloured walls, then the white stone flooring and glass parapets, inviting the viewer to scan over the garden and vegetable patch. Few furnishing elements were selected and most were designed using reclaimed period pieces. A harmonious living vibe permeates the entire setting.
